What Is
Regeneration?
Beyond sustainable, toward alive
sustainable means βdon't make it worse.β regenerative means βleave it more alive than you found it.β
The Protocol · 5 steps
1
Sustainable is the floor
keeping things from dying isn't the same as helping them thrive. aim higher than neutral.
2
Regeneration is net-positive
give back more than you take. forests, reefs, healthy communities.
3
Everything is connected
you can't fix one part in isolation. work the whole web.
4
Cycles, not lines
nature has no waste; one thing's output is another's food. design loops.
5
Start where you are
a garden, a block, a scene. regeneration is local first, then it spreads.
Run it: name one thing you're merely sustaining. how could you make it more alive?
“don't just do less harm. do more good.”
TL;DR past neutral β net-positive β whole systems β loops β start local
